This year's Giving Tuesday campaign for Hope Shines is laser focused on launching a new program called the Social Worker program. Social workers are a vital lifeline to youth development. They stand up every day for human rights and social justice to help strengthen our communities. They can be the voice for people who aren't being heard, and they tackle serious social issues faced by our children in Rwanda.
The program will help us dig much deeper into the psycho-social issues our children face on a daily basis in their communities. Currently, a Hope Shines child gets supported in ways that help the child be able to attend school and gain that extra edge in succeeding in the classroom. Additionally, the child is getting educated on what healthy living means as they grow into adulthood. All this is not possible with support from so many around the world in the Hope Shines family. The area of growth for our interventions and doing more with this group, is a need for a social worker. A social worker for Hope Shines will begin to assess and identify challenges and provide tools for the children and their families to use that allows them to better navigate through life in a healthier more manageable way.
Let's pull our passion and resources together and help fund this much-needed and impactful program so our kids can thrive more than ever. Let's give them hope this Giving Tuesday season and equip them with the mental capacity to tackle new challenges and know how to manage through them in a positive manner.
